Chanelle De Lau is chosen as Miss Curacao 2016 and will represent the country at Miss Universe 2016 pageant.  She succeeds Kanisha Sluis as Miss Curacao.  Miss USA Deshauna Barber was present during the crowning moments of this 21 years old stunning model from Willemstad.

Curacao is participating in Miss Universe since 1963.  They have placed 5 times.  Their highest placement was achieved by Annemarie Braafheid in Miss Universe 1968.  She was the first runner-up.  Last year’s representative Kanisha Sluis finished as a Top 10 finalist in Miss Universe 2015.  Now the hopes may be high from Chanella De Lau since she is beautiful, works as a model and is 5 ft 11 in tall.
