Raissa Santana crowned Miss Brasil 2016

Raissa Santana from Parana was crowned as the winner of Miss Brasil 2016. She will now compete in Miss Universe 2016 coming January in Philippines. She is 21 years old and succeeds  Marthina Brandt as the new Miss Universe Brazil. The finale of the pageant was held at the Citibank Hall.

At the same event, Danielle Marion of Rio Grande do Norte was declared as the 1st runner-up and  Deise D’anne of Maranhão  was declared as the 2nd runner-up. Interestingly, Raissa Santana is a second woman of colour to have won Miss Brasil, the first being Deise Nunes in 1986.

Raissa shared her happiness on social media by stating, “I’m very emotional. This here is a mixture of very large emotions. I did not expect to win this title, but I am very happy to have won this title and to represent the black beauty and encourage girls who have the dream to have something, to conquer, to be a model, to be a miss.  Now I want to encourage these girls and show them that they can.

Raissa Santana is one stunning we must say. Pageant fans across the globe have shown their happiness and content with her selection as Miss Brazil. Her exotic features and curly hair makes her a treat to watch. We can’t ignore the fact that she has extremely toned body and her personality is something that catches our attention instantly. She is a performer and considering she is a woman of colour, it gives her an edge of uniqueness. We totally loved her and we are sure she will be the one to beat in the Miss Universe contest. For us, as of now, we see her making it to the Top 5 in worst case, Let’s see if she can in Miss Universe or not.
