Miss World Mexico 2016 will take place next month where the winner will represent Mexico at Miss World 2016 — Miss World 2014,Rolene Strauss of South Africa at a event in Mexico

Miss World Mexico 2016 will be the first edition of the pageant which will take place next month date & venue will be declared later. 33 regions of Mexico are expected to compete in this pageant. Winner of Miss World Mexico 2016 will represent Mexico at Miss World 2016 pageant which will take place in the month of December in Washington D.C. Hugo Castellanos is the new franchise owner of the pageant. Former Miss Universe Lupita Jones used to send delegates to the Miss World pageant. Miss World delegation visited Mexico on invitation of Lupita Jones in 2014 at that time Mexico had given up the franchise for the Mis Universe pageant so it seemed like Nuestra Belleza México would warm up to MWO but after few months the franchise was given up by the org. Mexico is yet to win it’s first Miss World crown but it has placed on several occasions with runner-ups and continental queens crown. Yamelin Ramírez is the reigning Miss World Mexico, she failed to place at the Miss World 2015 pageant.
