Anna Lara Orlowska crowned Miss Iceland 2016
Anna Lara Orlowska was crowned as the winner of Ungfru Island 2016 which is Miss Iceland 2016. She will now represent her country at Miss World 2016 later this year in USA. Anna succeeds Arna Yr Jonsdottir as the new Miss Iceland.
At the same event, Elfa Rut Gisladottir was crowned Miss World Sport, Donna Cruz won Miss People’s Choice Award, Hulda Margret Siguroardottir won Miss Talent and Anita Osp Ingolfsdottir won Miss Top Model. Previously the organisation was sending their delegates to Miss Universe and Miss International as well, till 2009. But now they only send representative to Miss World.

Iceland hols 3 Miss World crown till date. Hólmfríður Karlsdóttir was the first person from Iceland to win Miss World crown, in 1985. In 1988, Linda Pétursdóttir was crowned as Miss World and in 2005, Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir won the Miss World for Iceland.
