Caris Tiivel wins Miss Universe Australia 2016 [Full Results]

Caris Tiivel crowned Miss Universe Australia 2016

23-year-old Caris Tiivel, Miss West Coast 2016 defeated 22 contestants to bag the title of Miss Universe Australia 2016. Caris will represent Australia at the 65th Annual Miss Universe pageant which will take place in Manila, Philippines in the month of January next year.  Grand finale of Miss Universe Australia 2016 took place on 31st August 2016 at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins. Monika Radulovic,Miss Universe Australia 2015 crowned Caris as her successor at the end of the pageant. First runner-up crown went to Elise Chambellant whereas the second runner-up crown was bagged Marijana Radmanovic.

Australia is one of the most successful countries at the Miss Universe pageant with two crowns courtesy of   Kerry Anne Wells,Miss Universe 1972 and Jenniffer Hawkins,Miss Universe 2004. Australia has bagged numerous runner-up crowns and top 10 finalists placement.

Caris tried the Miss Universe Australia pageant some years ago where she failed to place. His leggy lass is a successful model in Australia and we can see why she was a hot favourite to win the pageant. If we take the new MUO in account we feel Caris might just be Australia’s third Miss Universe winner or a sure shot top 5/6 finalist. We hope she finds a good stylist who can help her find some amazing dresses and gowns for the Miss Universe pageant her styling last night was so off that she didn’t even manage to impress us in the crowning pics.
