Magalie Adelson won the title of Miss International Guadeloupe 2016 and hence will represent Guadeloupe at Miss World 2016, which will be held in the United States of America in December later this year. Magalie succeeds Arlène Tacite as Miss International Guadeloupe. It should be noted that this pageant is different from Miss Guadeloupe pageant which sends the winner to compete in Miss France. The runner-ups of this pageant often compete at Miss International or/and Miss Earth.
Guadeloupe competes in Miss World since 2003. The only placement of the country in Miss World was achieved by Brigitte Golabkan in Miss World 2012. She was Top 30. She was 2nd Runner-up in Beach Fashion event. Last year’s representative Arlène Tacite did not place but she was Top 10 in Dress Designer’s Award. Magalie Adelson now holds the responsibility to bring pride to Guadeloupe by achieving success in Miss World 2016.
Magalie Adelson’s chances in Miss World 2016
While Magalie looks decent and has a nice body, she does not look extra-ordinary. Also, the sash of Miss Guadeloupe is very weak in Miss World pageant, or rather any international pageant. Hence Magalie will have to play her cards very well if she wants to place. Our suggestion to her would be to focus on doing particularly well in 2-3 of the challenger events, so that she can get noticed and also scores points in leader-board. For now, she is not in our Top 20.
