Siera Bearchell is Miss Universe Canada 2016
Siera Bearchell of Moose Jaw, Saskatchwan has won the title of Miss Universe Canada 2016 after defeating 63 delegates in the national finals. She is 174 cm tall and her age is 22. She owns a clothing line. She was crowned by Miss Universe Canada 2015 Paola Nunez Valdez during the finals held in Toronto. Siera’s first runner-up was Amber Bernachi who will be Miss International Canada 2016 & compete at Miss International 2016. Kesiah Papasin was second runner-up. Camila Gonzalez was third runner-up. Sian Slingerland was fourth runner-up.
Siera Bearchell now faces the herculean task of bringing the third Miss Universe crown to her country. The last winner from Canada was Natalie Glebova who won the Miss Universe title in Bangkok, Thailand in the year 2005. The last placement of Canada in Miss Universe was in the year 2006 when Alice Panikian placed in the Top 10. In all, Canada has placed 16 times. They have 2 crowns and 2 runner-up placements.
Siera Bearchell is perhaps the best bet of Canada in Miss Universe since 2006. The girl is tall and strikingly pretty. She was first runner-up to Riza Santos in Miss Universe Canada 2013. She represented Canada at Miss Supranational last year and placed as the 1st runner-up. Her ultimate goal was always to participate in Miss Universe and this year she has achieved it by winning the national title. Such an ambitious soul cannot be denied – Canadians can grin while waiting for Miss Universe pageant this year.
