Miss America 2017 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant.Grand finale of Miss America will take place on Sunday 11th September 2016 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. All 50 states plus District of Columbia & Puerto Rico will compete to succeed Miss America 2016-Betty Cantrell ( Georgia). Miss America is a scholarship based beauty pageant which was first started in the year 1921. The Miss America Organization provides scholarships to the winners. The contestants compete in Various rounds such as the swimsuit, talent, evening gown and question and answer round during the finale. The top 15 is determined during the preliminary contest & personal interview. At the age of 16 Margaret Gorman, Miss District of Columbia was declared as the first ever Miss America title holder. The pageant will be aired live on ABC network and will be streamed online for fans across the globe.
