Best and the worst Evening Gowns at Miss USA 2016 Prelims: Miss USA 2016 Preliminary show took place yesterday at the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas,Nevada. 52 stunning women from across the country participated in one of the most widely watched and scrutinized beauty pageant in the world. The contestants dazzled the stage in stunning designer gowns this year Capes and over skirts were hot favorites among the contestants. Some gowns were just bad knock- offs of former winners and contestants. Last year’s winner Olivia Jordan of Oklahoma hosted the preliminary show where the contestants battled it out in Swimsuit and evening gown competition the personal interview round took place earlier today. The top 15 contestants will compete for the crown and title of Miss USA 2016 . Miss USA will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.
Here are our favorite and our least favorite gown from last night’s show. This year has been a bit disappointing because most of the gowns that have been used aren’t new ( in terms of concept) Most of the girls failed to be innovative and ended up wearing some really horrific dresses. We mentioned before it was night filled with capes, over skirts, bridal gowns and Velvet *cringes* fabric.

#5:Tennessee,Hope Stephens
Just loved this royal blue gown that featured a key hole detailing with sheer paneling in center, the styling was bang on perfection and she just looked so chic in Velvet.
#4:Texas-Daniella Rodriguez
Wearing a white high slit gown designed by famous Venezuelan designer Gionni Starcia, Daniella was a vision to behold. Although we wish she had worn a different pair of shoes rather than those ugly nude plumps.
#3:Georgia: Emanii Davis
Emanii was epitome of grace and sophistication in this white column gown which featured a cape with floral appliques which took the simple white gown to another level. Loved the way Emanii was styled yesterday she looked so regal!!
#2:Louisiana,Maaliayh Papillion
Wearing a Fernando Wong gown Miss Louisiana slayed the contest this stunning masterpiece featured a over skirt over a black sheer gown that had branch like appliques fading away through the bottom of the gown.
#1: South Dakota,Madison McKeown
There are few people who dare to take risk and become a trendsetter Miss South Dakota in her White cape Tony Ward gown looked like a Grecian Goddess as she walked through those humongous LED screen, Her styling wasn’t pageant patty ( which was kind of a relief) but it was like some A list Hollywood celebrity who is on a world tour to promote her movie.
Worst Evening Gowns at Miss USA 2016 Prelims:
#5:Iowa,Alissa Morrison
This look is just so boring. This black mermaid gown has been used so many times that we have lost the count of it. Hopefully this beauty changes her gown for the finale.
#4: New York,Serena Bucaj
You can see the sadness in her eyes. This gown suits Mother of the bride or someone who is super obsessed with Downtown Abbey. Hopefully she changes to something else and channelizes her inner New York Diva and wears something fierce.
#3:Nevada,Emelina Adams.
Classic case of wrong gown on the wrong girl. This sheer beeded gown had potential but due to it’s length issue the whole look falls flat. she is bit short and wearing a gown like that makes her look bit shorter.
#2:Ohio,Megan Wise
Everything about this gown is wrong because it is just way to much to handle the color gels into her skin (not in a good way) the sequins gives 2012/2013 vibe the feathers looks like a mayhem. Ohio just sabotaged their chance of placing at Miss USA with this gown.
#1: Illinois,Zena Malak
, This is such a bad copy of Olivia Jordan’s Miss USA gown. Thank God she didn’t wear anything green other wise she would have looked like an egg plant emoji.
