Miss Russia 2016: Yana Dobrovolskaya

Yana Dobrovolskaya from Tyumen was chosen as Miss Russia 2016 on 16th April, 2016 in Moscow, Russia.  She succeeds Sofia Nikitchuk as Miss Russia winner.  Yuliana Korolkova from Orenburg region finished as the first runner-up and Yulia Khoroshavina from Kirov was judged as second runner-up.  Yana defeated 50 beauties to win this title.  She was one of the Top 3 bets of ‘The Great Pageant Community’.

Yana Dobrovolskaya will be representing her country at Miss World 2016 & Miss Universe 2016.  There will be huge pressure on her because her predecessor finished as 1st Runner-up at Miss World 2015.  Russia has always done well in both the pageants.  In the very first year of participation, Miss Russia Yuliya Alexandrovna Kourochkina won Miss World 1992 title.  Misses Russia 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2011 and 2014 placed among the semi-finalists at Miss World in their years.  Miss Russia 2008 Ksenia Sukhinova won Miss World in 2008.  Miss Russia 2005 Yuliya Ivanova was the winner of Beach Beauty.  In Miss Universe, Russia has won the title once in 2002 with Oxana Federova, although Oxana was later fired by Donald Trump.  Vera Krasova finished as 3rd runner-up in Miss Universe 2008.  Russia also placed in 1996, 1998, 2001, 2006, 2010 and 2012.
