Femina Miss India 2016 concluded last weekend with the crowning of Guwahati’s Priyadarshini Chatterjee as the winner. She will represent India at the upcoming Miss World pageant. Her first runner-up was Sushruthi Krishna of Bangalore. The second runner-up was Pankhuri Gidwani of Lucknow. The initial reactions from the fans about the results were positive. Now as time is passing, more and more discussions are being made with these three beauties as subjects. Here, we try to compare the new winners with last year’s winners.
Aditi Arya v/s Priyadarshini Chatterjee
We pick Priyadarshini Chatterjee over last year’s winner Aditi Arya in this comparison. Priyadarshini has better walk and presence. Her confidence is natural and effortless. She speaks very well. Her body is in good shape too. She comes across as sincere and focused. She has the potential to transform into a fabulous Miss India World representative after intensive grooming by the Femina team. In our opinion, she can go as high as Top 10 or Top 5 in Miss World 2016. Of course, a lot depends on the way she transforms in the coming months.
Aafreen Vaz v/s Sushruthi Krishna
We have to pick last year’s 1st runner-up Aafreen Vaz this time. She is better than Sushruthi Krishna in each and every aspect – facial beauty, height, body, personality, stage presence, walk, communication as well as confidence. Of course, Sushruthi is good too. But Aafreen was very strong. How we wish the girl had got the chance to participate in Miss Universe or Miss World!
Vartika Singh v/s Pankhuri Gidwani
Now here comes the dilemma! Both the girls are very good! Last year’s 2nd Runner-up Vartika Singh finished as the 2nd runner-up at Miss Grand International 2015 and thus ended up being the most successful Miss India last year. She excelled in everything – beauty, body, personality, presence, walk and aura. On the other hand, Pankhuri impressed everyone with her charm and presence. She has a good personality too. While Vartika at this point is better than Pankhuri, we have to acknowledge that Pankhuri is better than how Vartika was when she participated in Miss Diva 2014. With proper transformation, Pankhuri has the potential to surpass Vartika. If she is sent to Miss Grand International, she can even win it all! For now, we will play safe with our verdict.
Verdict: Status Quo
Thus, it is difficult to conclude whether the new batch as a whole is better than the old batch. Let us see how the girls transform in the coming months. It would be amazing if all three new winners surpass their predecessors in their international pageants and make us all proud!
