 Femina Miss India 2016 Final Hotpicks:  Things are certainly getting heated up in Mumbai because hardly 4 days are left for the grand finale of the 53rd edition of Femina Miss India 2016.  The grand finale will take place on 9th of April at Yashraj Studios where 21 contestants will battle it out for the biggest beauty pageant crown in India. Considering the fact that there hasn’t been any stand-out contestants unlike previous years, pageants fans are scratching their heads on who will be India’s representative at the Miss World 2016 pageant.  While coming up with the hotpicks, we at The Great Pageant Community looked on the overall performances of the contestants during the last one month, on how much they have improved and how much potential they have, to give India front-runner statuses at various international pageants.  We have divided the girls into 2 categories — A) Bubbling up, 5 girls who can place but we aren’t quite certain about them B) The 10 front runners, we are confident that one of them will eventually walk away with the crown.

BUBBLING UP:

Dimple Paul:  This sexy siren surely commands your attention she has everything in her to make it big but we think she is more suitable for pageants like Miss Universe & Miss Earth rather than Miss World.

Gayathri Reddy: This dusky beauty from Chennai has absolutely stunning, striking Indian features which makes her a stand out but she seems to be bit reserved and timid.  She should work on her confidence and come back next year because we do see tons of potential in this Diva.

Natasha Singh:  She has a really commercial face which can do wonders, she was first runner-up at the Delhi regionals which was one of the most competitive batches in recent years. We simply can’t count out her but she hasn’t made any lasting impressions so far.

Niharika Anand:  She might be the ultimate dark horse of the pageant; this tall, leggy-lass has great jaw line and stage presence.  If she manages to enter the top 10, she can cause a major upset at the finale.  But we feel Niharika will have a better run as a professional model than a beauty queen.

Priyanka Singh:  Priyanka can be Prachi Mishra 2.0 ( in a good way).  She has an amazing body with great personality & presentation skills.  Her biggest problem is that she is not comfortable with english and tends to be intimated about it.  If she sheds her inhibitions, she will go far in this contest and beyond.

 No. 10 – Dnyanda Shringarpure

 

Dnyanda Shringarpure:  We love the way how she has grown as a person during the whole contest.  This Campus Princess alumni has everything that will be appreciated internationally.  All she needs to do is find the right kind of styling and gain some lean body weight.

No. 9 – Aradhana Buragohain

Aradhana Buragohain – North East India is on a roll this year.  Rarely we see contestants from that region making a huge impact on the national scale & this year, we have three front runners from North East!  One of them is Aradhana who has very exotic and charming face.  It will be hard to ignore her from the top 10.

No. 8 – Vaishnavi Patwardhan

Vaishnavi Patwardhan: She has the most beautiful smile in the contest; this Marathi mulgi was runner-up to Aaital Khosla at Miss India Earth 2015 pageant. Vaishnavi has been trained under Ritika Ramtri.  Hence Vaishnavi Patwardhan is a force to reckon with.

No. 7 – Rajkanya Baruah

Rajkanya Baruah – She proved her worth by winning Kolkata regionals and by bagging the best body award.  Rajkanya is not a new face to pageant fans in India and we have seen how much efforts she has put in to be in this position.  She is one of the strongest contestants this year.  She is possible winner of ‘Beauty With a Purpose’ sub contest too!

No. 6 – Sanjana GL

Sanjana GL – She has one of the best walks!  She oozes with confidence on stage.  She is mix of Gurleen Grewal & Manasi Moghe.  This South Indian beauty has come a long way since Bangalore regionals, where she was a runner-up and she will go even further if lady luck favours her on 9th this month.

No. 5 – Adya Niraj

Adya Niraj – Indian version of Miss World 2013 Megan Young, if Adya goes to any international pageant her biggest obstacle would be to convince people that she is much more than just a lookalike of Megan Young.  She needs to bring her A game if she goes to any international pageant or while meeting the Miss World delegation that will arrive in Mumbai in few days.

No. 4 – Roshmitha Harimurthy

Roshmitha Harimurthy – Best way to describe Roshmita is ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’.  She might not be the most beautiful girl out there or the most well-spoken but she does look good and speaks well.  Roshmita for us is almost a complete package with down-to-earth persona and a great body.  Roshmita can definitely bring International glory to India.

No. 3 – Sushruthi Krishna

Sushruthi Krishna: Her ‘Beauty with a purpose’ project was featured on the Miss World page last year.  She competed in the last edition of Femina Miss India.  Sadly she went unnoticed and failed to crack the Top 10.  Sushruthi has come back with vengeance to prove her detractors wrong.  Many might feel that she is apt for Miss World, but we feel she will do better at Miss Grand International  or Miss Supranational.

No. 2 – Pankhuri Gidwani

Pankhuri Gidwani – She has captured not just the Campus Princess crown but also the imagination of pageant followers!  This aspiring actress has striking resemblance to Ami Vashi, Miss World India 2003.  With Femina’s magical grooming, Pankhuri will do well at Miss World or Miss Grand International.

No.1 – Priyadarshini Chatterjee

Priyadarshini Chatterjee – She has been our favorite for the Miss World India crown since the beginning.  This Guwahati girl  has the perfect body, walk & eloquence. With her unique facial features, Priyadarshini shows how diverse Indian beauty is.  Her look will be appreciated on the international platform too.  We believe she is the perfect choice for Miss World India crown.  The Femina Miss India crown may stay in Delhi for the third year in a row!
