Miss Russia 2016 pageant will take place on 16th April 2016. 50 stunning Russian beauties have been shortlisted as official candidates of this years pageant. Winner of Miss Russia 2016 will represent Russia at Miss World 2016 and Miss Universe 2016 pageant. If for any reason the winner fails to represent Russia at either of the two pageant then the Miss Russia org sends a runner-up to the pageant. Miss World 2015 first runner-up, Sofia Victorovna Nikitchuk will crown her successor at the end of the event. Russia debuted at the Miss World Pageant in the year 1992 where Julia Kourotchkina who was the first Russian to enter Miss World won the crown. Ksenia Sukhinova Miss Russia 2007 bagged the Miss World 2008 crown in Johannesburg, South Africa. Russia debuted at Miss Universe in the year 1994, Oxana Fedorova Miss Russia 2002 bagged the Miss Universe 2002 crown but was later dethroned for mysterious reasons. Russia has hosted the 2013 edition of Miss Universe Pageant.
