Pankhuri Gidwani of Lucknow has been chosen as the winner of Campus Princess 2016 season 1.  She studies at La Martiniere Girls’ College.  Pankhuri is now officially a contestant of Femina Miss India 2016.  She is the 5th confirmed contestant at the moment.  First was Femina Miss India Bangalore 2016 winner Roshmitha Harimurthy.  Second was Femina Miss India Kolkata 2016 winner Rajkanya Baruah.  Third was Femina Miss India Delhi 2016 winner Priyadarshini Chatterjee.  Today are the final auditions for Femina Miss India 2016.  They are being held at Sahara hotel in Mumbai.  Sanjana GL, who was a runner-up in Femina Miss India Bangalore 2016, is chosen as a wildcard contestant for Femina Miss India 2016.  Thus, 5 cards are already open.  It will be exciting to see the complete list of contestants.

Pankhuri Gidwani has to be considered as a serious contender at the moment because winners of Campus Princess are always good performers.  Last year Femina Miss India 1st runner-up Aafreen Vaz was winner of Campus Princess 2015 season 1.  The winner of Campus Princess 2015 season 2, Hemali Soni from Mumbai was considered among best contestants of Miss Diva 2015.  She eventually made it to the Top 6 in the finals.
