Miss Wales 2016 will represent Wales at Miss World 2016 — Who will succeed Emma Jenkins as Miss Wales 2016? Meet the finalist

Miss Wales 2016 will take place later this year where 42 beauties are expected to compete for the title of Miss Wales 2016 & represent Wales at Miss World 2016 pageant later this year. The 42 finalist will go through rigorous training and various challenges such as sports, beauty with a purpose, top model & beach fashion all in sink with the Miss World pageant. Miss Wales 2015-Emma Jenkins from Llanelli will crown her successor at the end of the event. Wales debuted at Miss World in the year 1999 the highest placement for Wales was when Sophie Moulds bagged the first runner-up crown at Miss World 2012 pageant. Amy Guy is the only other delegate from Wales to get placed at Miss World pageant she competed in the 2004 edition. Rosemarie Frankland who hailed from Wales represented United Kingdom at Miss Universe 1961 where she bagged the first runner-up crown and she went on to win the Miss World pageant int the same year. She became the first Welsh women to bag the title of Miss United Kingdom and first British women to win Miss World crown.Helen Morgan the infamous Miss World 1974 winner who was dethroned after 4 days was also from Wales she also bagged the first runner-up crown at Miss Universe 1974 pageant.
