Rajkanya Baruah wins fbb Femina Miss India Kolkata 2016

Stunning Rajkanya Baruah was crowned as the winner of Femina Miss India Kolkata 2016 at the conclusion of the regional contest. Winning this title gives her a clear way to the final list of Femina Miss India 2016, where the main winner shall go to Miss World 2016 pageant. Rajknya Baruah also won Miss Body Beautiful which is considered as one of the most important sub-titles. Rajkanya was a hot favourite to win the title from the beginning and is an active member of The Great Pagaent Community Facebook Group. She is the first ever Assamese girl to win this title.  She was crowned by Koel Mallick.

At the same event, Sushmita Roy was adjudged as 1st runner-up and Adya Niraj, a heavy crowd favourite, was declared as 2nd runner-up at the pageant. The Top 5 court was completed by Kashturi Borkotoky, Anindita Debnath. Adya Niraj also managed to win 3 sub-titles;, namely Miss Photogenic, Miss Entertainer, Miss Fashion Icon. Miss Supranational 2015 Top 10 and Asia and Oceania Queen Aafreen Vaz was present at the final as one of the judges.

Rajkanya is not new to pageantry. She has previously held the position of Finalist for Kingfisher Calendar Girl 2012, Top 7 – Dabur Gulabari Sananda Tillotama 2010, 2nd runner up – Eclectic Model Hunt 2010, 2nd runner up – Dabur Gulabari Fresh Face of North-East 2010. She has completed her MBA in Marketing and International Business and is currently serving as an HR in a famous Hospital chain.
