Miss Universe 2015 is Pia Wurtzbach from The Philippines

Miss Philippines- Pia Wurtzbach crowned Miss Universe 2015!!!

Miss Universe 2015 concluded by crowning Pia Wurtzbach from the Philippines as their new winner.The pageant was held in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada. 26 year old Pia battled out 79 other delegates to claim the title of Miss Universe 2015. She was crowned by the out going queen, Paulina Vega from Colombia.The Pageant was hosted by American TV personality Steve Harvey who goofed up the final results by declaring Colombia’s Ariadna Gutiérrez as the winner where as she was the first runner-up. Miss USA Olivia Jordan was crowned as  the second runner-up. Miss Australia -Monika Radulovic & Miss France-Flora Coquerel completed the top 5. Miss Thailand-Aniporn Chalermburanawong bagged the best National Costume award.

26 year old Pia Alanzo Wurtzbach was born to a German father and a Filipino mother. She is a professional model and  TV personality. She competed her schooling from ABS-CBN Distance Learning School in Quezon City,Pia is a culinary art graduate from the Center for Asian Culinary Studies in Manila. Pia has appeared in many TV shows and movies in her native country. Pia was crowned Binibining Pilipinas (Miss Universe Philippines) in her third attempt earlier she was first runner-up at 2013 pageant and placed in top 15 at Binibining Pilipinas 2014. Pia is the third Filipino to win the Miss Universe crown Gloria Diaz was the first Filipino to win the coveted crown in 1969 where as Maria Moran won in 1973.
