24 year old Miss Salteña-Claudia Barrionuevo won the crown of Miss Universe Argentina 2015. Claudia will now represent Argentina at the 64th edition of Miss Universe which will take place on 20th December 2015 in unnamed American city. The finale of Miss Universe Argentina took place at at the Independence Theater in the city of Mendoza.The finale was hosted by Nicole Neumann and Gabriel Canci. Claudia succeeds Valentina Ferrer-Miss Universe Argentina 2014 (Top 10 at Miss Universe 2014). The first runner up crown went to Miss Capital Federal-Maria Teresa Kuster where as second runner up crown went to host delegate Miss Mendoza -Marina Calot.

Argentina has won one Miss Universe crown courtesy of Norma Nolan Miss Universe 1962. Argentina debuted at Miss Universe in the year 1952 with Ivana Olga Kislinger being the first Argentinian representative.  Adriana Gardiazabal was second runner up at Miss Universe 1961 and Beatriz Martha Gross was fourth runner up at Miss Universe 1970. Apart from these three placement Argentina has placed thirteen times at the Miss Universe Pageant.  A separate pageant was created in 2006 called Miss Universo Argentina to select the Argentinian representative till 2003  winner of Miss Argentina used to represent Argentina at Miss Universe Pageant.

24 yeaar old Claudia Barrionuevo hails from the city of El Carril,Salta. She became the first representative from the province of Salteña to bag the crown of Miss Universe Argentina. She is a well know print and ramp model in her province. She is 5 feet 10 inches tall. She works as a model at International Model Management  (IMM) in Costa Rica.
