Phạm Thị Hương is Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 [Result]
Phạm Thị Hương as Miss Universe Vietnam 2015
Stunning Phạm Thị Hương was crowned as Hậu Hoàn Vũ Việt Nam 2015 (Miss Universe Vietnam 2015) at the conclusion of the national pageant. She will now represent Vietnam in Miss Universe 2015 contest. She defeated 44 other stunning girls to claim the title of Miss Universe Vietnam 2015. At the same event, Ngô Trà My finished as first runner-up and Thị Lệ Hằng was adjudged as second runner-up. The event was held at Diamond Bay Resort in Nha Trang, Vietnam. Nha Trang was also the host city for Miss Universe 2008.
Phạm Thị Hương is a 25-year-old beauty who works as a lecturer at the College of Cultural Arts in Saigon. She was into modelling and pageants before she won the title of Miss Universe Vietnam 2015. Vietnam also hosted Miss Earth 2010 where Nicole Faria was declared as the winner. It is interesting to know how government regulations controls the pageants in Vietnam where they allow only one pageant to be held annually for selecting a Miss Vietnam. However, it seems as if the ban was lifted because we have seen Miss Universe Vietnam and Miss World Vietnam being held in the same year. This should give a good thrust to the pageant scene in Vietnam, hopefully.
Phạm Thị Hương seems to be crowds’ favourite since the moment she is crowned. Many even claimed that she is one of the best Miss Vietnam in recent years to be competing at Miss Universe. She will however face a tough competitions from the early favourites like Monika Radulovic from Australia, Olivia Jordan from USA, Pia Wurtzbach from Philippines, Ariadna Guitrrez from Colombia, Aniporn Chalermburanawong from Thailand, Mariana Jimenez from Venezuela, Catalina Morales from Puerto Rico etc.
Vietnam has never won Miss Universe contest before. The only placement Vietnam received in the pageant was in 2008 when the contest was held in Vietnam.
