Christelle Lohembe has been officially chosen as Miss Earth DR Congo 2015 and will represent the Dominican Republic of Congo at Miss Earth 2015 in Vienna, Austria this December.  Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell of Philippines will be crowning the successor at the end of the grand event on 5th December 2015.  Around 95 girls are expected to participate in the pageant.

Christelle Lohembe will not have an easy ride at Miss Earth 2015.  There are many girls who are very competitive and have a good shot at Miss Earth 2015 title.  Recently Estefania Muñoz was chosen as Miss Earth Colombia 2015.  With her stunning looks, she is definitely one of the big favorites at the moment.  Miss Earth Philippines Angelia Ong is also a very strong delegate.  With a lean body and lots of charm, this girl can get a back-to-back for Philippines at Miss Earth this year.  Miss South Sudan Agot Deng Jogaak is one of the strong black delegates this year.  The big favourite for Miss Universe Thailand 2015 who finished as 1st runner-up, Chavika Watrsang will be Thailand’s bet at Miss Earth.  It just seems improbable to keep her out of Top 8!  United States is eyeing their first Miss Earth title this year with a very strong delegate by the name Brittany Ann Payne.  Along with Congo, other countries returning to Miss Earth this year are Albania, Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba, Greece, Guadeloupe, Honduras, Ireland, Malta, Norway, Rwanda, Serbia, South Sudan, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, Uganda, Uruguay, Vietnam and Wales.

Christelle Lohembe will be the second beauty from Congo to participate in Miss Earth pageant.  The first was Olga Yumba.  She participated in Miss Earth 2008, which was won by Miss Philippines Karla Paula Henry at Clark Expo Amphitheater, Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines on 9th November, 2008.  The best performance by a beauty from Congo in an international pageant was achieved by Kayonga Mureka Tete, who finished third in Miss Universe 1985 pageant.
