Meet the 30 stunning contestants of Nuestra Belleza México 2015.  From this year, the winner will represent Mexico at Miss World pageant instead of Miss Universe.  The 22nd edition of Nuestra Belleza México will take place on 25th September 2015.  Bacalar, Quintana Roo will host the pageant.  Miss Universe 1991 Lupita Jones, the first Mexican to win Miss Universe, is the national director for Mexico.  7 special awards will be handed out at the finale and they are Miss Top Model,  Contestants’ Choice, Miss Talent, Miss Sports, Academic Award, Personality Fraiche and Steps to Fame.  The Miss World Organization was recently invited by the organizers of Miss Mexico pageant,  a local governing body.

Mexico refused to send a delegate to Miss Universe after Donald Trump’s racist remarks towards Mexicans.  Wendolly Esparza, the current Miss Mexico had to withdraw from the pageant.  Wendolly has been invited by Miss World Organization to be webcast reporter for Miss World 2015.  Yamelin Ramírez was crowned as Miss World Mexico 2014 in a small pageant before the main event.  She will represent Mexico at Miss World 2015.  Mexican delegate for Miss International also comes from this pageant.  She will be handpicked after some months.  Lorena Sevilla Mesina from Colima will go to Miss International 2015.

Mexico has won two Miss Universe crowns, Lupita Jones in 1991 and Ximena Navarrete in 2010.  Mexico is yet to win Miss World crown.  Mexico has achieved great success at Miss International in the last decade; they won two crowns – Priscila Perales in 2007 and Anagabriela Espinoza Marroquín in 2009.
