Ksenia Sukhinova, former Miss World, turns 28 today!

Happy Birthday, Ksenia Sukhinova!

Ksenia Sukhinova, Miss World 2008 & Miss Russia 2007, celebrates her 28th birthday.  She was born on 26 August, 1987 in Nizhnevartovsk, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union.  Currently she is working as a model.  She appeared in all postcards that introduced every participating song 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.  She lives in Tyumen, Siberia and has studied cybernetic systems in Tyumen Gas and Oil University.

Ksenia (often Romanised as Kseniya) Sukhinova has lived the life of an achiever.  She first won Miss Tyumen title and then she won Miss Russia 2007 pageant.  However, due to college work, she skipped Miss Universe 2008 pageant.  In her crowning pictures of Miss Russia, she looks like a painting of harmony.  She was a major favourite at Miss World 2008.  Like Miss World 2007 Zilin Zhang, Ksenia Sukhinova placed 3rd in Beach Beauty and won the Top Model contest.  She was loved by the photographers in South Africa because even her candid pictures looked like professionally photo-shopped pictures.  In Miss World 2008 finals, she wore a beautiful blue gown.  Her final answer was nice and in any case her beauty was too strong.  She convincingly won Miss World 2008 title with Miss India Parvathy Omanakuttan finishing 2nd and Miss Gabrielle Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago finishing 3rd.  Ksenia was also Miss World Europe 2008.  During her reign as Miss World 2008, Ksenia Sukhinova travelled to over 30 countries like United Kingdom, United States, South Africa, Vietnam, Germany, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico, China, United Arab Emirates, Australia and Czech Republic.

Ksenia Sukhinova was the second Miss World from Russia.  The first winner was Julia Kourotchkina. After Ksenia, Russia has not achieved much success at Miss World.  Irina Sharipova (2010) and Anastasia Kostenko (2014) could make it to the Top 15 in their respective years.

Strangely much is not known about the personal life of Ksenia Sukhinova, in terms of romantic relationships.  We hope romance finds its way into her life in a strong way this year!  Once again, we wish a happy birthday to the lass.  <3 <3
