21 years old, Annika Grill from  Gmunden defeated 17 other beauties to win the crown of Miss Austria 2015.  She was crowned by the outgoing Miss Austria Julia Furdea at the end of the pageant.  Annika Grill will represent her country at the Miss World 2015 pageant which will be held in Sanya, China.  Austria will be the first European country to host the Miss Earth 2015 Pageant.  Austria won two Miss World crowns.  Eva Rueber-Staier was the first Austrian to win the Miss World crown in 1969.  18 years later in 1987, Ulla Weigerstorfer won Austria’s last crown.

After winning the crown, the newly crowned Miss Austria said: “I am overwhelmed and still can not believe it – a dream come true for me I worked hard on me and it paid off I look forward to the year and I hope that I can do many great jobs.”  Annika is an accountant and an upcomig model in her country.
