Mary Ann Mobley, Miss America 1959, is no more.

Former Miss America and Miss Mississippi, Mary Ann Mobley died on 9th December 2014 at her home in Beverly Hills. Mary won Miss America 1959, which was also the first crown for Mississippi. After passing the crown of Miss America, Mary tried her luck on Television with ‘The Burke’s Law’ from 1963-1965. She also made guest appearances in Perry Mason in 1964 and 1966.

Mobley also Co-hosted Miss America 1989 along with her husband Gary Collins. They had one daughter, Clancy, but the couple separated in 2011 but reconciled in 2012. However, Gary died the same year in October.

Mary was fighting with Breast cancer and  couldn’t survive longer any further. She died at the age of 77. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
