Kira Kazantsev wins Miss America 2015
After a month long pageant, Miss America 2015 finally came to a conclusion on 14th September 2014. New York managed to prove their supremacy over the pageant 3rd time in a row when, Miss New York, Kira Kazantsev was declared as the new Miss America last night. The outgoing queen, Nina Davuluri from New York crowned Kira. Kira competed against other 52 American beauties to claim this title on her name.
The three-peat of the state led to heavy controversy and bashing of the new winner, but in our opinion, this pageant is most unpredictable, in a good way. It takes lots of guts to put your reputation at stake by crowning the same state 3 times in a row which only a FAIR pageant can do. Yes, we repeat, only fair pageant can come up with such results when same state is crowned multiple times in a row. Beside everything, Miss America focuses more on personality of a girl rather than just outer beauty, which also proves why generally we can’t predict winners as its difficult to estimate girls’ personality through couple of pictures.
Post question answer round, we feel the competition remained only between 2 girls, New York and Virginia. However, facially we might have preferred Virginia though. Never mind, we believe Kira will also be a great Miss America as usual other Miss America have been. Apart from the title of Miss America 2015, Kira won a $50,000 scholarship provided in part by Joseph Ribkoff Inc. and the Miss America Organization to continue her education, which she intends to use towards law school.
