Miss Venezuela 2013 Migbelis Castellanos to be dethroned?

A Spanish website elcomercio.com ( link to article) is claiming that Osmel Sousa, National Director of Miss Venezuela is unhappy with how Miss Venezuela 2013 Migbelis Castellanos has gained 33 pounds (15 kgs) since her crowning. Migbelis has been heavily criticized by pageant fans from across the world for her weight problems. She is supposed to represent Venezuela at Miss Universe 2014. Reportedly, Osmel Sousa has put Migbelis on heavy diet and if she fails to get back in shape, she might lose her title & a replacement shall then represent Venezuela at Miss Universe Pageant.

 Miss Venezuela’s are always considered as strong contenders as they go under rigorous training  through out the year & they are always regarded as  the most prepared ones. Venezuela is considered as the only pageant super power they have won 7 Miss Universe crown, 6 Miss World & Miss International crowns,2 Miss earth crowns  & various minor & major tittle in the world of pageantry.

 It has come as a shock to the pageant world seeing a Miss Venezuela in such bad shape, people have started comparing Migbelis to Miss Universe 1996 Alicia Machado of Venezuela  who was on the verge of being dethroned by Miss Universe Organization for gaining weight during her reign as Miss Universe 1996 .

Many are raising question whether this is a publicity stunt to keep Miss Venezuela in News for wrong reasons & when she goes  to compete for the pageant, she will be in perfect shape like her predecessors.

Osmel Sousa  is confident about back to back victory for his country again at Miss Universe Pageant. It is to be noted that, Venezuela is the only country to achieve a back to back victory in Miss Universe Pageant before in 2008-2009.
