Can Venezuela repeat the History??

Venezuela, an unbeatable pageant power house, in 2009 won Miss Universe which was almost considered impossible by most of the pageant fans and bookies. The reason being that back in 2008 a stunner from Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza, had won Miss Universe and in 2009, an 18 years Stefania Fernandez was representing Venezuela in Miss Universe. Many people considered Stefania was a downgrade from Dayana Mendoza and might even miss the cut.

However, the story chose to end the other way, she not only made it to top 15, top 10 and top 5 but also won the crown of Miss Universe 2009, beating the heavy favourite from Aime Ada Cruz from Dominican Republic and Rachael Finch from Australia. Stefania evolved a lot over a year of her reign and became one of the most loved Miss Universe.

Now the twist here is, Maria Gabriella Isler who won Miss Venezuela 2013 also won Miss Universe back in November 2013 in Russia. Hence, there is a chance of Venezuela again repeating the history now.

The story of Miss Venezuela again comes to the same turn where Migbelis Castellanos who has won Miss Venezuela 2014 and shall now be competing in Miss Universe 2014. It is interesting to note that she is also 18 and Stefania was also 18 when she competed for Miss Universe in 2009. The one major point they differ at is that Dayana was favourite but Stefania was a dark horse, however here Gabriella was a dark horse and Migbelis probably would be a better front-runner.

Politically, Migbelis may not win, but logically she should at least end high.
