Stunning 23-years-old Flavia Joana Brito was declared as the winner of Miss Universe Portugal 2016. She will now represent her country in Miss Universe 2016 coming January in the Philippines. She battled out other 11 contestants to claim the title. Flavia Joana Brito succeeds Emilia Araujo as the new Miss Universe Portugal.

Portugal is sending delegates to Miss Universe since long but were successful to find only one placement till date when Laura Goncalves placed in Top 10 at Miss Universe 2011. This year Flavia shall be trying her luck to get placement and crown for her country.
