Riddhi Churoria arrived at India’s Miss TGPC Season 14 juggling examinations and pageant shoots simultaneously — finishing exams only to step directly onto set without a break. Her journey is a masterclass in discipline, time management, and the kind of steely determination that smiles through chaos. From building a gothic Supermodel look overnight in a hostel room to executing a hula hoop talent round she had never performed professionally before, Riddhi is proof that the boldest risks reveal the strongest version of you.
What part of your personality became stronger because of this competition?
I think this competition truly strengthened my ability to multitask and maintain balance under pressure. As a college student, I was managing my examinations alongside TGPC shoots, rehearsals, and preparations simultaneously. There were days when I would finish an exam and immediately shift into pageant mode without taking a break. This journey taught me the importance of discipline, time management, and prioritising my ambitions without compromising my academics. Most importantly, it made me mentally stronger and showed me how to face hectic schedules, challenges, and pressure with determination and a smile on my face.
What’s one “confidiva” moment you had this season?
The biggest “confidiva” moment for me this season was definitely my Miss Supermodel Round 2 look. That look was pure chaos, creativity, and confidence coming together overnight. From arranging everything at the last minute, making endless calls, coordinating every tiny detail — to managing it all while living in a hostel — I literally built the entire look from scratch in just one day. But when I finally stepped in with that look, I believe I completely owned the stage and the moment. What made this moment even more special was that I stepped completely out of my comfort zone. I usually prefer soft glam looks, but this time I experimented with a bold gothic look and attitude. Honestly, I never imagined I could pull off that side of my personality so well. That moment taught me that sometimes the boldest risks reveal the strongest version of you.
“Loud when I walk in. Mysterious when I walk out.”
If the judges described you in one line, what do you hope they’d say?
I hope the judges would describe me as someone who is confident, versatile, and unforgettable. I want them to see me as a contestant who brings both grace and individuality to the competition — someone who is hardworking behind the scenes but effortless on stage. I’d also want them to remember me as a person who isn’t afraid to step out of her comfort zone and constantly evolve. More than anything, I hope they see my authenticity, passion, and determination in everything I do. I want to be remembered not just for how I looked, but for the energy and presence I brought into every moment.
What’s something glamorous people don’t realise about pageant life?
Something glamorous people don’t realise about pageant life is how much discipline, pressure, and hard work happens behind the scenes. People often only see the makeup, gowns, and spotlight — but not the long rehearsals, sleepless nights, constant practice, and mental pressure contestants go through. There’s a lot of preparation involved in every small detail, from grooming and communication to confidence and stage presence. It also requires balancing emotions, handling criticism, and still showing up with grace and confidence every single day. Pageantry may look glamorous on the outside, but behind that glamour is a lot of dedication, consistency, and resilience.
Which challenge pushed you out of your comfort zone the most?
I think one of the biggest challenges that pushed me out of my comfort zone during my India’s Miss TGPC journey was my talent round performance. Hula hoops was something I had never really performed professionally before, but I wanted to do something unique and innovative instead of choosing something predictable. Learning, practising, and confidently presenting it on such a platform was definitely challenging for me, both mentally and physically. But honestly, the entire TGPC journey itself pushed me beyond my limits in so many ways. There were days when I skipped meals, slept very little, and still had to show up with confidence and energy. But I think those challenges made me stronger, more determined, and helped me discover a more hardworking version of myself.
How do you handle pressure before important moments?
Before important moments, I try to stay calm and focus on trusting my preparation and hard work rather than overthinking. Listening to music and visualising a positive outcome helps me feel centred and confident. I truly believe that pressure is natural when something matters deeply to you, so instead of fearing it, I try to channel it into motivation. One thing that gives me immense peace and inner strength is chanting the Krishna mantra — “Krishnaya Vasudevaya Haraye Paramatmane, Pranata Kleshanashaya Govindaya Namo Namaha.” It instantly calms my mind and grounds me. Most importantly, I remind myself to stay present and genuinely enjoy the moment.
What energy are you bringing into the finale?
I’m bringing fearless confidence, powerful stage presence, and positive energy into the finale. This journey has transformed me into a stronger, more resilient, and more evolved version of myself, and I want that growth to reflect in every moment on stage. I’m walking into the finale with gratitude, passion, and the confidence to truly own my space. More than anything, I want my energy to feel authentic, memorable, and inspiring. I’m not just coming to compete — I’m coming to leave an impact.
