In a landmark development in the Indian beauty pageant industry, Mrs. World 2022 Sargam Koushal and renowned celebrity stylist Serena Khat have officially secured the national franchise rights to select and send India’s representative to the globally celebrated Mrs. World pageant.
The duo has launched their official national platform under the banner Elevitta Mrs. India World, which will now serve as the authorized gateway to the international Mrs. World competition. The initiative aims to discover, train, and empower married Indian women, offering them a chance to shine on one of the most prestigious global stages.
The Mrs. World pageant, established in 1984, is the world’s first and longest-running international beauty competition exclusively for married women. With participation from over 40 countries annually, it has evolved into a beacon of empowerment, elegance, and international sisterhood. India has previously claimed the Mrs. World crown twice — in 2001 with Dr. Aditi Govitrikar and again in 2022 with Sargam Koushal herself, ending a 21-year drought.
Sargam Koushal, a former teacher and now a celebrated pageant winner and public figure, said, “Bringing the Mrs. World crown back to India changed my life. With Elevitta Mrs. India World, I want to give that transformative opportunity to countless married women across the country.”
Her co-director, Serena Khat, known for her work with A-list celebrities and fashion houses, added, “Pageantry today is about more than beauty. It’s about confidence, voice, vision, and leadership. We’re building a platform that reflects that modern spirit.”
The pageant will feature regional auditions, comprehensive grooming and personality development training, and a grand national finale. The national winner will represent India at the next edition of Mrs. World, expected to be held later this year.
With the backing of two dynamic women leaders, Elevitta Mrs. India World is all set to bring fresh energy, inclusivity, and credibility to India’s married women’s pageant circuit. The organization has launched their official instagram handle @ElevittaMrsIndiaWorld. As a country that reveres tradition while embracing modern womanhood, India’s representation at Mrs. World now enters a bold new era — led by those who have not only walked the ramp but also rewritten the rules.
