The crowning ceremony, which took place in Bengaluru, saw Miss Unity World Ambassador 2024, Upasana Rawat crowning Pooja. She will now represent India in the Ms Unity World 2024 competition in October 2024.
Miss Cosmos Queen India is India’s first-ever all-inclusive beauty pageant, celebrating diversity and breaking traditional beauty standards. Pooja Sharma, a 28-year-old plus-size model from Jaipur, Rajasthan, is making history as the first Indian plus-size model to represent the country on an international stage.
Pooja Sharma’s journey to the crown has been marked by dedication and perseverance. When asked about her feelings on being crowned, Pooja expressed profound gratitude and pride. “The ‘big’ win feels amazing. It feels like the hard work of years has paid off, like a dream come true. This is the biggest achievement of my life, as it gives me the honor of representing my country internationally as a plus-size model. I feel grateful, lucky, and relieved, knowing that I am breaking stereotypes for all the women who believe they don’t fit into the conventional beauty standards. This victory comes with the responsibility to keep the crown shining through my consistency and hard work in the industry. I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves and achieve the unbelievable. It feels like a new life has begun,” Pooja said.
