Introducing Shivani Pandey, a 24-year-old BA LLB student at Symbiosis International University, residing in Katni, Madhya Pradesh. Shivani’s journey is one of resilience and determination, drawing inspiration from her brave mother’s battle with cervical cancer and her own experiences overcoming challenges like PCOD and bullying. Despite these hurdles, she has transformed herself both physically and emotionally, demonstrating her dedication to self-improvement. Alongside her studies, Shivani is deeply involved in advocating for menstrual hygiene awareness and nurturing her passion for acting and modeling.

Contesting for India’s Miss TGPC Season-12 against 50 other girls from across India and beyond, Shivani is ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and advocacy, all while showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of India.

TGPC: What motivated you to participate in India’s Miss TGPC?

Shivani: I am motivated to participate in India’s Miss TGPC because I see it as an incredible platform to showcase my talents, advocate for important causes, and connect with like-minded individuals. The opportunity to receive valuable training, mentorship, and exposure from industry experts is also a major factor. Moreover, I want to challenge myself, grow personally, and make a positive impact in society. Ultimately, participating in Miss TGPC is a chance for me to empower myself and inspire others through this transformative experience.

TGPC: Why do you believe you are deserving of the India’s Miss TGPC title?

Shivani: I deserve the India’s Miss TGPC title because of my unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment to making a positive impact. I have worked tirelessly to overcome challenges, grow personally, and advocate for important causes. My journey has taught me resilience, empathy, and the importance of uplifting others. Winning the Miss TGPC title would not only be a personal achievement but also an opportunity for me to use my voice and influence to inspire others and effect meaningful change in society.

TGPC: Looking towards the future, what are your plans, both with and without the crown?

Shivani: Looking towards the future, with the crown, I aspire to leverage the platform to amplify my advocacy efforts, particularly in areas like menstrual hygiene awareness. Additionally, I aim to utilize the crown to further my aspirations of becoming a model and actor, with the guidance of industry experts. Without the crown, I am committed to continuing my advocacy work and pursuing my dreams with determination and resilience. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire others and contribute to positive change, regardless of the outcome of the pageant.

TGPC: Growing up, what would you say was your biggest challenge?

Shivani: Growing up, my biggest challenge revolved around overcoming bullying stemming from my family’s modest financial background. Enduring mockery and judgment due to our economic circumstances was undoubtedly tough. However, these experiences instilled in me a profound resilience and inner strength. Amidst these challenges, the unwavering determination and resilience demonstrated by my parents served as a guiding light. Their steadfast support not only propelled me forward but also fueled my determination to pursue my dreams despite the obstacles.

TGPC: Beyond winning, what aspect of India’s Miss TGPC are you most excited about?

Shivani: Beyond winning, I am most excited about the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for making a positive impact. Participating in India’s Miss TGPC offers a platform to forge meaningful connections, collaborate on advocacy initiatives, and inspire one another to reach new heights. Additionally, I am eager to engage in the various training sessions, workshops, and mentorship opportunities offered by the pageant. These experiences will not only enhance my skills and confidence but also provide invaluable insights into personal growth and development. Overall, I am thrilled about the prospect of being part of a supportive community dedicated to empowering women and effecting positive change in society.

TGPC: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, what legacy do you aspire to leave behind?

Shivani: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, I aspire to leave behind a legacy of empowerment, advocacy, and positive change. I aim to inspire others, especially young girls, to believe in themselves, pursue their dreams, and make a difference in their communities. Through my advocacy work, particularly in promoting menstrual hygiene awareness and breaking societal taboos, I hope to leave a lasting impact on society. Additionally, I strive to be a role model who leads by example, demonstrating resilience, compassion, and determination in the face of adversity. Ultimately, I aim to leave behind a legacy that uplifts and empowers others, fostering a brighter and more inclusive future for generations to come.

TGPC: Could you share with us the causes or issues that you are particularly passionate about, and how do you intend to utilize this platform to create an impact?

Shivani: I am passionate about menstrual hygiene awareness and have been actively visiting villages since 2020 to distribute pads for free. With India’s Miss TGPC platform, I aim to expand these efforts by organizing workshops, distributing hygiene products, and facilitating discussions. My goal is to empower women and girls to manage their menstrual health confidently and break down societal barriers surrounding menstruation. Through these initiatives, I intend to make a meaningful and lasting impact on menstrual hygiene practices in communities across India.

TGPC: Is there any message you’d like to convey to those reading this?

Shivani: I want to share a message of hope and resilience with those reading this. Life is full of challenges and obstacles, but it’s our response to them that defines us. No matter what struggles you may face, remember that you are capable of overcoming them. Find strength in the support of loved ones and in your own inner resilience. Believe in yourself and your ability to achieve your dreams, no matter how daunting they may seem. Together, let’s strive to create a world where kindness, empathy, and compassion prevail.
