Meet Rashmita Chitre: India’s Miss TGPC Season-12 Finalist

Introducing Rashmita Chitre, an 18-year-old from Dombivli, Maharashtra, whose name reflects her personality – full of light and positivity. She is admirably passionate about Dance, having represented India at an International level and won 2 Dance Championships. With a mixture of confidence and generosity, she possesses leadership qualities and is someone who always lives up to the mark.

Contesting for India’s Miss TGPC Season-12 against 50 other girls from across India and beyond, Rashmita is ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and advocacy, all while showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of India.

TGPC: What motivated you to participate in India’s Miss TGPC?

Rashmita: Growing up watching those exceptional women representing their countries with so much love, dignity, and enthusiasm motivated me to do something for my country as well. This pageant will help me reach the ultimate platform where I can showcase my talent.

TGPC: Why do you believe you are deserving of the India’s Miss TGPC title?

Rashmita: I feel like those who believe in themselves are the ones deserving. Talking about me, I am someone who does what it takes to be one with sheer dedication. Hence, I think I deserve to win India’s Miss TGPC title.

TGPC: Looking towards the future, what are your plans, both with and without the crown?

Rashmita: For me, winning this title is important as it will take me a step closer to achieving my goal of representing my nation at an International platform. But, If I don’t win, it’s not going to stop me, and I will make sure to not give up and be a good influence.

TGPC: Growing up, what would you say was your biggest challenge?

Rashmita: Growing up, I used to let people’s opinions affect me, and it would make me question myself. But over time, I learned that belief is the key. It took me a lot of time to overcome it, and this felt like a challenge to me.

TGPC: Beyond winning, what aspect of India’s Miss TGPC are you most excited about?

Rashmita: The thing I am most excited about is to be around some really amazing talented women who I think will make me feel what sisterhood actually is and to enjoy this wonderful journey with some new experiences.

TGPC: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, what legacy do you aspire to leave behind?

Rashmita: The legacy I aspire to leave behind is to be confident enough and embrace yourself just the way you are and never forget that being kind to yourself is as important as being kind to others.

TGPC: Could you share with us the causes or issues that you are particularly passionate about, and how do you intend to utilize this platform to create an impact?

Rashmita: The issues that I am particularly passionate about are Body Shaming and Gender Equality. I will utilize this platform to be a voice for the people concerned, to break the orthodox mindsets, and make them believe that you are beautiful just the way you are because, as it is said, “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”.

TGPC: Is there any message you’d like to convey to those reading this?

Rashmita: The one thing that I’ve been taught by my parents is, what goes around comes around, so be a person with a lot of gratitude and kindness. This is the message I would like to convey. Thank you.
