Komal Choudhary, a 23-year-old with a fire in her belly, hails from Pune, Maharashtra. Ever since childhood, the dream of becoming Miss India has fueled her passion. Balancing academics (a bachelor’s in nutrition and dietetics with a master’s on the way) with her love for karate (a dedicated professional for 12 years!), Komal embodies resilience. This fierce spirit translates from the dojo to social work, where she channels her energy into uplifting the underprivileged. Contesting for India’s Miss TGPC Season-12 against 50 other girls from across India and beyond, Komal is ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and advocacy, all while showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of India.
TGPC: Komal, what motivated you to participate in India’s Miss TGPC?
Komal: TGPC is a platform that empowers women to be agents of social change and leave a positive footprint on the world. Additionally, I see it as an opportunity to inspire others to chase their dreams with unwavering determination.
TGPC: Why do you believe you are deserving of the India’s Miss TGPC title?
Komal: I believe I deserve to win because my life story is an inspiration. I’ve faced challenges head-on and emerged stronger. Winning this pageant would provide a wider platform to share my journey and encourage others to pursue their dreams relentlessly. It’s about demonstrating that with unwavering determination and hard work, anything is achievable. My victory would be a beacon of hope and inspiration for everyone watching.
TGPC: Looking towards the future, what are your plans, both with and without the crown?
Komal: My future plans revolve around empowering young women through self-defense training and alleviating hunger in our communities. I aim to establish an NGO providing meals to the underprivileged, while simultaneously teaching self-defense to countless girls. These initiatives are driven by a deep desire to make a meaningful difference and create a more inclusive society.
TGPC: Growing up, what would you say was your biggest challenge?
Komal: Witnessing gender discrimination growing up was my biggest hurdle. The unfair treatment based on gender fueled a fire within me – a fire that yearns for change. Overcoming this challenge instilled in me the importance of advocating for equality and relentlessly striving towards a more inclusive world.
TGPC: Beyond winning, what aspect of India’s Miss TGPC are you most excited about?
Komal: TGPC is an incredible platform that fosters connection with like-minded individuals, empowers meaningful contributions to society, and inspires others through personal journeys.
TGPC: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, what legacy do you aspire to leave behind?
Komal: My legacy aspires to empower girls to be their own protectors: to stand up for themselves with unwavering confidence. Through advocacy and initiatives, I aim to equip young women with the skills and confidence to navigate life’s challenges. This legacy would inspire a generation of empowered individuals who are unafraid to speak up, defend themselves, and create positive change in their communities.
TGPC: Could you share with us the causes or issues that you are particularly passionate about, and how do you intend to utilize this platform to create an impact?
Komal: Two causes hold a special place in my heart: providing nutritious food to the underprivileged and empowering girls through self-defense training. This platform allows me to encourage others to join me in making a difference. Together, we can tackle these issues and create a positive impact in our communities. I firmly believe that everyone deserves access to food, and by working together, we can empower young girls while ensuring that no one goes hungry.
