TGPC: What motivated Gargi to participate in India’s Miss TGPC?

Gargi: For a while, I’ve been intrigued by pageants, but my lack of confidence held me back. I always felt my physical appearance wasn’t ideal, fearing it would hinder me. However, hearing Prachi Nagpal express similar insecurities and emphasize the beauty in embracing oneself as is, inspired me to finally take the plunge and give myself a chance.

TGPC: Why does Gargi believe she is deserving of the India’s Miss TGPC title?

Gargi: As an individual who has traversed through bouts of self-doubt and anxiety, and eventually found solace in self-acceptance and genuine happiness, I am committed to relishing every moment of my life. This personal journey has equipped me with the empathy and understanding needed to support individuals who grapple with their own insecurities, particularly regarding physical appearance. My adaptability allows me to seamlessly integrate into any situation, while my compassionate nature enables me to sympathize and empathize with others on a profound level. It is these qualities that I believe make me a deserving candidate to win India Miss TGPC, as I am poised to not only represent beauty but also advocate for inner strength and acceptance.

TGPC: Looking towards the future, what are Gargi’s plans, both with and without the crown?

Gargi: My vision for the future is one filled with optimism and growth. With or without the crown, I am committed to striving each day to become the best version of myself. I am determined to extend a helping hand to the underprivileged, fostering positive change in any way I can. Whether I am crowned or not, I intend to embark on a journey of self-improvement and personal development. I firmly believe that this journey, enriched with experiences and learnings, will shape me into a more compassionate and purpose-driven individual. With or without the crown, my future holds the promise of happiness, fulfillment, and meaningful work dedicated to serving others.

TGPC: Growing up, what would Gargi say was her biggest challenge?

Gargi: Growing up, one of my greatest challenges was learning to accept myself and cultivate self-love. From childhood into my teenage years, I didn’t fit society’s conventional standards of beauty, which often left me feeling inadequate. Even recently, I struggled with fully embracing myself. However, I am grateful to have overcome those insecurities and now understand that external appearance holds little significance compared to the beauty found within. This journey has taught me the invaluable lesson that true beauty emanates from within, and it’s essential to prioritize self-acceptance and inner contentment above all else.

TGPC: Beyond winning, what aspect of India’s Miss TGPC is Gargi most excited about?

Gargi: More than just winning, what excites me most is the enriching journey ahead, brimming with opportunities for learning, personal growth, and the cherished bond of sisterhood. I eagerly anticipate immersing myself in the various tasks and challenges, embracing each one as a chance to perform, learn, and evolve. Moreover, I am thrilled at the prospect of getting to know my fellow TGPC sisters hailing from different corners of the country, fostering connections that transcend borders and unite us in our shared experiences and aspirations.

TGPC: As an aspiring winner of India’s Miss TGPC, what legacy does Gargi aspire to leave behind?

Gargi: The legacy I aspire to create is one defined by love, acceptance, and continual growth. It’s a legacy that aims to uplift others, offering support and encouragement to those grappling with mental health challenges. My goal is to inspire individuals to embrace themselves fully, to recognize their inherent worth, and to understand that their physical appearance does not define their capabilities or aspirations. Above all, I seek to instill in others the belief in the power of dreaming and the importance of pursuing those dreams with unwavering determination.

By sharing my own experiences and insights, I hope to empower others to embrace their differences, prioritize their mental well-being, and foster a more inclusive and accepting society for all.
