25-years-old Pornima Buddhivant was crowned as Miss India Exquisite 2019-Queen for a Cause by India Exquisite organisation, headed by Ms Rajni Subba. She will now represent India at Miss Exquisite International 2019 to be held in Baltimore, USA next month. Pornima was selected for this title from the entries received across India. Pornima is based at Mumbai and is an architect. She is currently working as research assistant with NGO named Mashal in Pune. She loves painting, writing, dancing, singing and trekking in her free time.
Pornima was trained by TGPC’s Pageant Grooming team and was a finalist at India’s Miss TGPC Season-6 where she also won the subtitle of Miss Golden Heart for her social community project. She also underwent image consultation and make-over under the mentorship of celebrity stylist Dimple Mehta from Mumbai.
On being asked about her feeling on winning the crown, she replied, “This is something I was praying for since long time where I lived all the moments of hardwork & failures by wearing the crown. Representing my country India at an International level makes me feel extremely responsible since now people look at me as an Inspiration. I am grateful for this lifetime opportunity to be called as Miss India & my heart is filled with gratitude for those who helped me in this journey. I want to thank my parents, sister and friends for their immense support in whatever I do. TGPC family for constant support and guidance through out my pageant journey and TGPC Pageant Grooming team for grooming me so well for my walk, personality etc. I would also like to thank Dimple Mehta for the amazing transformation she had given me and last but not the least, my all well-wishers.”
