Shweta Sekhon, defeated 17 other contestants to win the title of Miss Universe Malaysia 2019. The grand finale of Miss Universe Malaysia 2019 took place on Friday, 8th of March 2019 at The Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Shweta was crowned by the outgoing Miss Universe Malaysia, Jane Teoh. Shweta will represent Malaysia at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant later this year where she will try to succeed Catriona Gray as the next Miss Universe. Yaw Hui Jing was crowned as the first runner-up whereas the second runner-up title went to Tessminderjit Kaur. Lee Su Hsien was crowned as the third runner-up.

22-years-old Shweta Sekhon is also known as Shwetajeet Kaur. Shweta is a freelance model and hails from Kuala Lumpur. Shweta can speak, English, Malay, Punjabi and Hindi.
