Princess Megonondo wins Miss Indonesia 2019

Princess Megonondo, representing Jambi province defeated 33 other contestants to win the title of Miss Indonesia 2019. The grand finale of the pageant took place on Friday, 15th of February 2019 at the MNC Studio, Kebon Jeruk, in Jakarta. Alya Nurshabrina, Miss Indonesia 2018 from Jawa Bharatcrowned Princess Pengonondo as her successor. She will now represent Indonesia at the Miss World 2019 which will take place in Thailand at the end of this year. The first runner-up crown went to Elisa Jonathan from the Bathen province whereas the second-runner up title went to Miss Sulawesi Utara, Sharon Sumolang.

The pageant was hosted by Robby Purba, Daniel Mananta and Amanda Zevannya. Vanessa Ponce the reigning Miss World from Mexico was the special guest at this year’s pageant. Maria Harfanti, Miss Indonesia 2015 & Natasha Manuela, Miss Indonesia 2016 both of whom went on to win the second runner-ups crown at Miss World pageant in their respective years were also part of the jury along with actor Ferry Salim, make-up artist Peter F. Saerang and Liliana Tanoesoedibjo founder and chairwomen of Miss Indonesia Organization.
