Genesis Suero wins Miss New York USA 2018

Genesis Suero defeated 132 other contestants to win the title of Miss New York USA 2018. The grand finale of the pageant took place on Sunday, 14th of January 2018 at The Performing Arts Centrer,Purchase College .Genesis was crowned by the outgoing Miss New York USA, Hannah Lopa. Genesis will now represent the state of New York at the Miss USA 2018 later this year where she will try to succeed Kara McCullough of District of Columbia as the next Miss USA. In the same event Saige Guerin was crowned as Miss New York Teen USA 2018. Saige will represent New York at the Miss Teen USA 2018 pageant later this year.

New York is the third most successful state in terms of placements at the Miss USA pageant. New York has produced 3 Miss USA winners Jackie Loughery in 1952, Mary Therese Friel in 1979& Kimberly Pressler in 1999. New York has five first runner-up crowns one of them was Shanna Moakler Miss USA 1995 first runner-up who took over as Miss USA 1995 after Chelsi Smith won Miss Universe 1995 in Namibia. New York has 1 second,third & fourth runner-ups title.

Genesis Camila Suero is originally from the Dominican Republic. Genesis is not new to world of pageantry she was a semi-finalist at last year’s pageant. Genesis ran the New York Marathon last year. Genesis is a fitness freak and enjoys to go on Gastronomical adventures.
