Karen Ibasco from Philippines wins Miss Earth 2017

Karen Ibasco was crowned as the winner of Miss Earth 2017. She represented the country of Philippines at the contest. The finale was held at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. She battled out 85 other contestants to claim the title of Miss Earth. Kareb Ibasco succeeds Katherine Espin from Ecuador as the new Miss Earth. The show was hosted by James Deakin and the production quality of the contest was well appreciated by the pageant audience. Miss Vietnam-Le Thi Ha Thu was awarded Miss Photogenic subtitle.

The early exclusion of the delegates from Thailand and Venezuela from Top 4 was a complete shock for the people. Also the exclusion of USA and Angola from Top 8 also didn’t go well with people. But then we need can understand pageants are very subjective and girls look very different in person from what they look in pictures and in camera. Karen Ibasco was one of our hot favourite to win the contest in our FINAL HOTPICK. In fact she was also one of the most gold medal winners in pre-final activities.
