Sofía del Prado crowned as Miss Universe Spain 2017

Sofía del Prado has been crowned as the winner of Miss Universe Spain 2017. The finale was held at Teatro Fortuna, Hotel THB Torrequebrada Class, Málaga. She will now represent Spain at Miss Universe 2017. She battled out 39 other contestants to claim the title. Sofia del Prado succeeds Noelia Freire as the new Miss Universe Spain.

At the same event,  Sárah Loinaz Marjani was declared as the first runner-up while Raquel Arias Jiménez Miss Universe Madrid 2017 was declared as the second runner-up.  Daira Santana Arbelo was declared as the third runner-up and Ana Méndez Rodríguez was declared as the fourth runner-up and María Arcos  was fifth runner-up.

Sofia isn’t very new to pageantry. She was previously the winner of Reina Hispanoamericana 2015 where she defeated the girls from 23 other countries. She is 23 years old and stands 182 cm tall. She can speak 4 languages namely-Spanish, English, French and German. She was also a 2nd runner-up at Miss Universe Spain 2015.
