Haruka Yamashita crowned as Miss World Japan 2017
Haruka Yamashita was crowned as the winner of Miss World Japan 2017 contest held in Tokyo. She is 21 years old and hails from Tokyo. She will now represent Japan in Miss World 2017 to be held in China later this year. She battled out 30 other contestants to claim the title. She stands 170 cm tall and studies in Keio University. She succeeds Priyanka Yoshikawa as the new Miss World Japan.
At the same event, Rumi Shinoda, Saki Yamato, and Rina Nagauchi were declared as the runners-up. Japan is yet to win the crown of Miss World.
