Rafieya Husain is Miss Universe Guyana 2017

Stunning Rafieya Husain was crowned as the winner of Miss Universe Guyana 2017. She will now represent Guyana at Miss Universe 2017. She succeeds Soyini Fraser as the new Miss Guyana Universe. She battled out 10 other contestants in the contest. She also managed to win the subtitles of Best Interview, Miss Popularity and Most Elegant. Rafieya isn’t new to pageantry. She previously held the prestigious title of Miss World Guyana 2014 where she cracked Top 11 of Miss World 2014. She also tried at Miss Universe Guyana 2016 but didn’t succeed to win the title. She was crowned by Miss Universe 2017 Iris Mittenaere.

 At the same event, the 1st Runner-up title was given to Sharisse Victor and 2nd Runner-up title was given to Nalicia Ramdyal. Rafieya was born in Guyana and went to US for further studies. If Rafieya Husain cracks the semi finals of miss Universe 2017, she will become the first ever woman to enter the finals from Guyana. We personally feel she might place as she has a good story to connect to the principles of the new organisation.
