Monalysa Alcantara is Miss Universe Brazil 2017
Stunning Monalysa Alcantara was crowned as the winner of Miss Universe Brazil 2017. The finale was held at Ilhabela in the northern section of Sao Paulo State. Monalysa Alcantara stands 5’10” and hails from the state of Piaui, a state which never won Miss Universe Brazil before. She will now represent Brazil at upcoming Miss Universe contest. With the win of Monalysa as Miss Brasil, it marks a first ever back to back win of black beauties at the contest as she succeeds Raissa Santana as the new Miss Universe Brazil.
At the same event, Juliana Mueller was declared as the first runner up while Stephany Pim was declared as the second runner-up. Monalysa Alcantara battled out 26 delegates to claim the main title. She is 18 years old and is a Business Administration student.
Brazil has won Miss Universe twice before, in 1963 & 1968 and the performance of their representatives have been decent.
