Elena Correa is Miss Universe Costa Rica 2017

Stunning Elena Correa was appointed as the official delegate of Costa Rica for Miss Universe 2017 by the national organisation. Elena was the first runner-up at Miss Costa Rica 2016 pageant which was won by Carolina Rodriguez. The decision was made that there shall be no official contest this year due to complications in its broadcast schedule for the second half of the year.

Although the representative for Miss Universe 2017 was hand picked, the national director assured that Miss Costa Rica 2018 will be held earlier and call for entries shall be release in August. It was also communicated that Correa’s formal crowning as Miss Costa Rica 2017 will be done during a formal gala dinner in August itself. Costa Rica has never won Miss Universe before.
