Michaela Galea is chosen as Miss World Malta 2017

Michaela Galea (age 20) was chosen as Miss World Malta 2017. She will represent Malta at Miss World 2017 in People’s Republic of China later this year, probably in November. Her first runner-up was Amber Debono and the second runner-up was Alexia Vella. She was crowned by Anthea Zammit, Miss World Malta 2015.

Malta has been competing at Miss World since 1965. Their only placement was achieved by Mary Brincat in Miss World 1969. She was Top 15. However, last year’s winner Anthea did a great job at Miss World 2016. She was Top 10 in Miss World Talent and finished 3rd in Miss World Sports. Many fans were disappointed when Anthea was kept out of the Top 20. Will Michaela Galea take forward Anthea’s success?
