Eyga Mojus is chosen as Miss Grand South Sudan 2017

Eyga Mojus has been chosen as Miss Grand South Sudan.  She will represent South Sudan in Miss Grand International 2017, which is to be held in Vietnam later this year.  She succeeds Anyier Teresa Yuol who represented South Sudan in Miss Grand International 2016.  Although Teresa won many hearts, she was snubbed of a placement in Miss Grand International 2016.

Eyga Mojus is 26 years of age and works as real estate agent.  She was born in South Sudan and moved to the United States of America 16 years ago.  Her story is similar to those of Wendy Kuanyin (Miss World South Sudan 2014) and Teresa.  These beauties too left South Sudan due to war situation there.  Eyga is not new to pageants.  She won the title of Miss South Sudan USA in 2015.

It is a matter of prestige for Eyga Mojus to wear the South Sudan sash in an international pageant.  South Sudan has been into pageants only from few years, but the country has made it’s mark with some really notable performances.  The best placement of the country was achieved by Atong Demach in Miss World 2012, where she finished 4th.  Placement or no placement, the girls from this country are always noted and often appreciated by the fans.
