Himachal guy, Mohit Sharma wins Rubaru Mr India Model International 2017
India’s biggest male pageant, the Rubaru Mr India pageant concluded on 25 February 2017 at the Royal Castle in Gurugram, Haryana. Mohit Sharma hailing from the beautiful city of Shimla of Himachal Pradesh was adjudged the winner of the contest. He received the title of Rubaru Mister India Model International 2017 and will be seen representing India at the Mister Model International Pageant 2017 slated to take place later this year in the United States of America. Mohit Sharma succeeded last year’s winner, Anurag Fageriya, Rubaru Mr India Model International 2016.
Mohit is a freelance model, fitness and nutrition consultant and software engineer. He completed his graduation in computer applications from the Bangalore University and did his Master’s degree in Technology from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (popularly known as BITS, Pilani in India). Mohit describes himself as a very positive and optimistic person. He always prefers to look at the brighter side of everything. He takes every challenge as a new opportunity to overcome his fears and discover his new strengths. He is a fitness enthusiast and likes to play badminton, ride bikes and cooking in his spare time. Before joining the fashion industry, this 6 foot tall Indian gentleman worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the Wipro Technologies in Bangalore city. His passion for fitness led his way to this glitzy and glamorous world of modelling and ultimately won him the prestigious Rubaru Mr India 2017 competition.
The Rubaru Mr India contest is an annual event in India organized by Rubaru Group, founded by Sandeep Kumar. The pageant is considered as the best platform by Indian models to taste success. The pageant has been in association with the Mister Model International Pageant (abbreviated as MMIP) since its early years. Interestingly, at Mister Model International Pageant 2014 in Dominican Republic, Sandeep Kumar, the owner of Rubaru contest was awarded as “Best National Director” by the owner of MMIP organization, Luis Trujillo. MMIP is regarded as one of the best and biggest international male pageants in the world. The pageant has produced several successful international male models and celebrities like Melvin Roman, Anurag Fageriya, Phany Padaraju, Victor Zanatta, Shanith Fernando and Narapat Sakunsong to name a few. This year, the pageant will take place in the United States at the grand finale of the competition Narapat Sakunsong, the reigning Mister Model International from Thailand will pass over his title to his successor.
