Meet the first Mr Grand India: Debojit Bhattacharya, Rubaru Mr India 2017
Debojit Bhattacharya from the city of Guwahati was announced the winner of Rubaru Mister India 2017 contest held on 25 February 2017 at the Royal Castle in the city of Gurugram in Haryana. The 24 year old Indian gentleman was awarded as the first Mister Grand India titleholder and will now represent India at the inaugural edition of Mister Grand International contest slated to take place from 28 September 2017 to 8 October 2017 in Manila, Philippines.
Debojit is a model and actor by profession. He stands 5 foot and 11 inches tall and has black hair and black eyes. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Naharkatiya College and can speak four languages that include English, Hindi, Bengali and Assamese. His hobbies are working out in gym, travelling and playing cricket. He has walked the ramp at various fashion shows and has worked with some of the most prestigious brands in the fashion industry. The year 2017, turned out to be the turning point in his life when he participated in India’s biggest annual competition for men, the Rubaru Mr India contest. The event was participated by 35 of the most talented and best looking men of the nation, where this 24 year-old charming hunk walked away with the coveted title of Rubaru Mr India Grand International 2017.
The Rubaru Mr India contest is run by Rubaru Group headed by Sandeep Kumar. The pageant has its roots back in the mid-2000s when it was held as an annual regional modelling competition in the Northern India. But today, the pageant has become the most respected and widely celebrated annual event of the world’s largest democracy, India. Mister Grand International will be having its very first edition this year. The pageant has mainly two concepts, ‘Charismatic’ and ‘Compassionate’. The organization is looking for a man who is charming and has a good mind-set and must be compassionate about helping fellow human beings. This international contest will be attended by candidates from all over the world. They will be judged on various parameters like confidence, speaking skills, fitness, personality and many more. All these factors will help in determining the winner of the very first edition of Mister Grand International.
