Miss World 2016: The Biggest and Unexpected co-incidence

Miss World 2016 concluding by crowning Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico. People made many reviews and observations but there was one thing that not many could realise for a very long time. There was one very surprising co-incident that left us stunned. This incident is about a cross-over.

It goes back to 2013, where Olivia Jordan represented United State in Miss World where she finished only Top 20 but the winner came from Philippines, Megan Young. Olivia Jordan later on won Miss USA 2015 and represented USA in Miss Universe. This year as well, Pia Wurtzbach from Philippines won Miss Universe.

Now in Miss Universe 2013, Yaritza Reyes represented Dominican Republic where she was just Top 10. Ara Arida from Philippines finished 3rd runner-up. In 2016, Yaritza Reyes won Miss World Dominican Republic and represented her country in Miss World 2016. Again, Miss Philippines- Catriona Gray finished as 3rd runner-up in the contest.

Over and above these two co-incidence, both of them finished as first runner-up in their later pageants. Now this is something we rarely see happening in pageants. Isn’t it?
